【Taiwanese Waves Look Back】A Pop Up Exhibition

For the upcoming 4th Taiwanese Waves at SummerStage on August 3rd, we would like to invite New Yorkers to join us for a special two-day exhibition at Canal Street Market on July 27th and 28th. Throughout the exhibition, you can discover the behind the scene ideas for the previous line ups and have an interactive AR music immersive experience with the this year’s line up. On July 28th, there will also be a panel focusing on Asian women in music. Lastly, don’t forget to jump into the human-sized Taiwanese Waves poster set, and be part of the Taiwanese Waves poster. Please come join the WAVES!

【Taiwanese Waves at SummerStage】

For its fourth consecutive year, Taiwanese Waves showcase collects some of Taiwan’s most inspiring talents for Summerstage. This year’s edition features an all-woman lineup from the island’s Mandarin music scene: The delicate ballads of the singer, radio DJ, and actress Wan Fang (萬芳), best known for singing the original theme for the 1993 romance film C’est la vie, mon chéri; The veteran guitar-less piano-rock band Tizzy Bac; The Paiwan singer A Bao (阿爆), and the Taipei-raised, New York-based emerging artist that has been on everyone’s radar 9m88.

Date - August 3rd, 2019

Time - 6pm - 10pm

Location - Rumsey Playfield, Central Park

Line Up - One-Fang, ABao, Tizzy Bac, 9m88
